Fishing waters
Åsunden is a clear water lake with an area of nearly 6,000 hectare. Largest depth is 63 metres. The water is clean and of drinking water quality. The open parts of the lake are relatively nutrient-poor but the bays surrounded by open farm land are relatively nutritious. There are many islands in Åsunden making it like an archipelago with flat rocks and shallow waters where the pikes like to stand. Species of fish
In Åsunden there are pike, perch, pike-perch, eel, tench, burbot, vendace, bream, rudd and some more species as well as crayfish. There is also a native population of salmon trout. The major part of the money from the sales of fishing permits is used to save and restore the number of salmon trout in the lake. Nearby Åsunden there are several good fishing waters where there are e.g. char and large pike-perch.
Fishing
Gädda, abborre, gös och röding kan fiskas med spinn eller trolling. Gäddsäsongen i öppet vatten sträcker sig från april till november. De stora gäddorna fångas lättast med spinnspö under vår och höst. Trolling på djupare vatten fungerar bra under hela säsongen. Abborre fångas med spinnspö eller mete under hela säsongen. Vintertid kan man pimpla abborre och röding samt angla gädda. Vinterpimpel efter “islake” är en gammal tradition vid Åsunden. Laken fiskas bäst om nätterna. Ål, sutare, braxen och sarv kan med fördel fångas på mete. Kräftorna fångar vi med burar eller håvar.
Fishing rules
För allt fiske med undantag av kräftfiske tillhandhåller vi fiskekort. Vi följer också “Det Naturliga Fiskets” rekommendationer. All fisk som inte konsumeras för dagen sätts tillbaka i sjön. Kräftor fångar vi på eget vatten med regler efter överenskommelse.
Boats and tackle
You can rent aluminium boats for 2 - 3 people with 9.9 hp four stroke engines. There are anchors, sea charts and life jackets available. We care about the environment and therefore only use environmental friendly petrol for our boats. You can also rent an echo-sounder and equipment for trolling. There is also a well stocked tackle shop at Ryda, where you can rent or buy the equipment you need. We supply all the necessary equipment for the crayfishing.
